But, then again, it could be a cultural thing. To post four books at once would have made for looooong posts (look at the size of it for two books!), so I'm actually trying to move forward quicker so I'll have two posts done when everyone else is just doing their one and we'll still be at the same spot in the book. Does that make sense? In any case, perhaps my method is a blessing in disguise as it will be akin to alarm bells for you to keep on trucking!Cleohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13152128642971612433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7495382709151625398.post-33980912526088758182014-02-18T12:49:32.504-08:002014-02-18T12:49:32.504-08:00What is going on? It's not hard to understand except perhaps the structure, because it starts in media res (in the middle) and there are flashbacks, etc. Sometimes the names are difficult too but you tend to figure them out as you go along.

I LOVED The Iliad, but I read it with a group, which helped me get much more out of it; I'm not sure if I would have initially finished it on my own.

Yes, I was hoping the poetry section of TWEM was coming up next but I am looking forward to the biographies!Cleohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13152128642971612433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7495382709151625398.post-59383902768293795292014-02-18T08:50:36.953-08:002014-02-18T08:50:36.953-08:00I love the story of the Odyssey, but I am so appre...I love the story of the Odyssey, but I am so apprehensive about reading Homer. I started the Iliad a long time ago, but did not finish it. I'll let you know when I put up next post so you can add link to this update.

I didn't read all of this yet, want to wait until I finish Books 1/2.

I set the first reading section at 4 books only because they deal with same part of story.
